Soldier injured during parachute exercise

A Fort Carson soldier was injured this afternoon during a parachute operation.
It happened around 12:30. The soldier, as yet unidentified, was airlifted to Penrose Hospital as a precaution. A Fort Carson spokesman said he was conscious, breathing and able to move before he was taken to the hospital. The full extent of his injuries is not known at this time. The exact circumstances of the injury have not been released.
