Some have evacuated in Teller County

At least 50 acres have burned so far south of Florissant, west of Cripple Creek in Teller County.

More than 100 residences have evacuated the Navajo Mountain Mesa subdivision. So far these are voluntary evacuations. No mandatory evacuations have been called yet.

A voluntary evacuation standby has been given to residents in the Bear Trap subdivision.

Air and ground crews from Teller and El Paso counties are working the fire, along with the Forest Service, Green Mountain Falls and other mutual aid volunteer crews.

No containment information at this time. The cause of the fire not known.
