New research suggests some migraine sufferers have a higher risk of dying from heart disease and stroke.
The study from the University of Iceland followed over 18,000 men and women for 26 years. Researchers found those who had migraines with aura, or vision problems during their headaches, were at an increased risk of dying from heart attack and stroke. There was no such risk for those with migraines without aura.
The study was led by researchers at the University of Iceland and published in the British Medical Journal.
