TODAY: Clouds, cold and even some more light snow! A disturbance moving through the state will bring us some snow showers later this afternoon. Light accumulation possible in the Springs to around an inch over Monument Hill and Calhan. Could see about 1-2" for Cripple Creek and even more around Rye and the Wet Mountains...maybe as much as 3-5". For places like Pueblo just a light dusting is mostly likely to be expected. For La Junta, Lamar and the plains snow is very unlikely through tonight. Dress warmly this afternoon...it will be cold. High temps of only 31 in the Springs, 35 in Pueblo and 36 in Canon City.
TONIGHT: Slight chance of a few lingering flurries before 9 or 10 PM, then clearing skies. Temps will drop to around 12 in the Springs and Pueblo overnight.
SATURDAY: Warmer weather to start the weekend across eastern Colorado before yet another Pacific storm rolls-in by evening and into Sunday. Temps tomorrow will warm to around 46 in the Springs and 52 in Pueblo thanks to a little downslope breeze in the afternoon. Different weather in the mountains as snow and wind will greet you across the passes and ski resorts. By later afternoon snow will spread from western Colorado to the Rampart Range, Wets and Sangre de Cristo's! Snow showers become much more likely for us here at the lower elevations overnight Saturday and for a much colder Sunday.
SUNDAY: Snow showers and gusty winds will greet you if you are planning to be out for Sunday services. We expect about 2-4 inches of snow over Teller County/The Rampart Range and the mountains west of I-25. Lower elevations will see some measureable snow as well with lower totals compared to areas above about 7 or 8 thousand feet. In addition to the snow...the storm will also bring us some gusty winds to start the day and some much colder weather. High temps of only 28 in the Springs to around the mid 30's in Pueblo, Canon, Trinidad and La Junta.
MONDAY: That Pacific storm exits the state and heads east which means will have sunnier, slightly weather here locally. Temps will be milder, but still chilly. 37 in the Springs and 43 in Pueblo.
TUESDAY: More sunshine to start the day and another couple of degrees warmer than Monday. A weak storm will bring some more snow to the mountains and could even bring a stray snow showers to the Pikes Peak region and mountains close to home. Very minimal chance of a few light showers overnight at the lower elevations, but most of us will be dry and cold.
WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY: Behind that weak storm it will be quieter in the mountains and across the Front Range. It is also expected to be warmer and sunnier for all of us. Temps Monday rise to the 40's for the Springs, Pueblo and Canon City. By Tuesday it will be in the upper 40's for the Springs and the lower 50's from Canon City to Lamar!
