As we end the week, we really fire up some afternoon showers and t-storms. We'll see these each and every afternoon from now through Monday. Temperatures will drop off slightly going into the weekend, but it won't be a significant cool down. Highs will still stay in the 80s for most areas.
As for the showers. We're not expecting severe weather, however, any t-storms that do develop could produce some heavy flooding rain, frequent lightning and small hail. This won't be the rule with the storms, but a few of the cells could definitely produce all three.
With extra moisture near the surface, the humidity will be fairly high this weekend - especially for CO standards. This moisture will help to feed the weekend storms.
Next week we continue with showers just about every day. The bigger news will be the cool down that comes Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will want to stay in the 70s for Springs and low 80s for Pueblo.
Have a great weekend... Meteorologist Valerie Abati.
