TODAY: Mostly sunny and warm with highs in the upper 60s in Colorado Springs, low 70s in Pueblo and Canon City, 50s in Teller County. Isolated showers will be possible over the high elevations and the I-25 corridor late this afternoon and evening with scattered thunderstorms possible for La Junta, Lamar, and Springfield. Mild overnight with temperatures falling into the 30s.
EASTER SUNDAY: Most of us will have above freezing temperatures as we head out to sunrise services. When it is time for lunch or Easter Egg hunts temperatures will be in the 60s....highs in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City will reach into the upper 60s, mid 50s in Teller County. So it will be a little cooler than today. Late Sunday night a rain/snow mix is possible mostly in the highest elevations.
MONDAY: Winter weather returns with a low pressure system moving in from California. Highs will be nearly 20 degrees cooler. Colorado Springs and Pueblo should be in the mid 40s....Canon City in the low 50s and Teller County in the low 40s. We are still watching to see how it develops, but right now it looks like the plains will have a good chance for snow Monday night. Overnight lows will be in the 20s.
TUESDAY: Snow is expected to continue throughout the day with highs near 40 degrees, lows in the mid 20s.
WEDNESDAY: The storm should exit and we will warm into the mid and upper 50s.
THURSDAY-FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and warm with highs in the 60s.
