Spring has arrived for our Easter weekend

TODAY: A little more cloud cover than you would probably like. The moisture does bring the chance for isolated rain showers, but most of the activity will stay in the higher elevations. It will be about 5 degrees warmer than yesterday with highs in the low 60s in Colorado Springs, mid to upper 60s in Pueblo and Canon City, and low 50s in Teller County. Overnight lows will fall into the 30s.

FRIDAY: Partly sunny and warmer with highs in the mid 60s in Colorado Springs, upper 60s in Canon City, near 70 in Pueblo, and closer to 50 in Teller County. As the day warms up we will see an increase in moisture with a chance for more widespread showers and thundershowers that will continue through early evening. There is the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms with lightning so we will be watching that for you tomorrow afternoon. Overnight temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s...closer to 30 in Teller County.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny and warm with highs in the upper 60s in Colorado Springs and Canon City, near 70 in Pueblo, and in the 50s in Teller County. There will be a chance for afternoon spring-like showers and that will continue through Saturday night. Lows will fall into the 30s and most of us will be waking to temperatures above freezing in case you are planning to go to a sunrise service.

EASTER SUNDAY: Pastel dresses, white patent leather shoes, and Easter bonnets will all be safe to wear with mostly sunny, dry, and calm conditions through the daytime. Highs will be in the 60s in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City...50s in Teller County.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and snow. Lows falling into the 30s.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and snow. Much colder with highs in the 40s. Overnight lows will fall into the low 20s.

TUESDAY: It will stay cold, but our skies will clear a bit with partly sunny conditions. Highs still in the 40s...just a few degrees warmer than Monday with a southeasterly flow. Partly cloudy overnight with lows falling into the upper 20s in most areas.

WEDNESDAY: More sunshine than clouds and warmer conditions with a westerly flow. Highs will be close to average for this time of the year. Colorado Springs will warm to near 55, Pueblo 63, Canon City 58 and Teller County 45.
