With a 5 to 3 vote and several amendments, Colorado Springs City Council passed the 2010 budget.
They voted to give a 90-day extension to the Aquatic Center and several parks programs while they try to find funding. Because they made amendments, they will have to vote on the budget again.
Earlier in the meeting, council voted to raise utility rates next year. Residential bills will go up 2.3%, which means an average $180 bill will go up about $4.
Commercial bills will drop 4.6%.
