The Colorado Springs Fire Department save the city $209,229 by refurbishing an older engine (pumper) instead of buying a new one.

CSFD has refurbished seven apparatuses over the past five years, saving the community over $1.2 million dollars.

Right now, a ladder truck is undergoing the refurbishing process.
