Colorado Springs police have arrested a 22-year-old man for causing serious injuries to his two-month-old child.

22-year-old Daniel Kim was booked into the El Paso Count Criminal Justice Center Sunday for the felony charge of Child Abuse Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

Police were called to Memorial Hospital Central Saturday evening as the two-month-old was receiving treatment. Police say the infant had a skull fracture, possible chest trauma, and bruising on his face and head.

The Colorado Springs Police Department's Crimes Against Children Unit was called in, and determined that the child's father was responsible for the injuries.

The child was admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
