Springs Police search for men attempting to lure children

The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two men who attempted to entice children into their vehicles.

On Monday, Jan. 28, two elementary school girls were asked to get into a vehicle with a stranger near the area of 2000 South Corona Avenue. The girls escaped unharmed. The suspect is described as being as a dark skinned Hispanic male in his 20's. He is approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build.

On Tuesday, Jan. 29, two males yelled at a 10-year-old girl to get into their vehicle near the intersection of West Cheyenne Road and Cresta Road. One suspect is described as being a Hispanic male between 17 and 20 years old. No suspect description was released on the second individual.

Both incidents occurred as the children were walking home from school.

Monday's incident occurred in Harrison District 2, while Tuesday's occurred in District 12.

No school resource officer was on school grounds in D-12 to speak with us Wednesday.

Colorado Springs Police were unavailable for comment.
