COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Jared Festler scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period as St. Cloud State beat Colorado College 5-4 Friday to move into a share of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association lead.
Festler's goal came at 11:34 of the final period, 20 seconds after Bill Sweatt had tied it for the Tigers (14-10-3, 10-8-3).
David Eddy had two goals, Ryan Lasch one goal and two assists and Aaron Marvin three assists for the Huskies (17-7-3, 12-5-2), who are tied with Denver for the WCHA lead with 26 points.
The teams combined for five goals in the third period as St. Cloud State emerged from a 2-2 tie to win its ninth straight game.
Sweatt had two goals and an assist for Colorado College and Rylan Schwartz added two assists.
Dan Dunn made 21 saves for the Huskies and Jow Howe stopped 22 shots for the Tigers.
