St. Mary's slugger is Athlete of the Week

Charlie Coghlin of St. Mary's High School is this week's Loaf ‘N Jug Aquafina Athlete of the week.
Charlie is a junior on the Pirates baseball team and he is one heck of a bopper. He was the Tri-Peaks Conference Player of the Year last season, was 3A All-State, and is one of ESPN's top-50 high school players in Colorado.
But it has been a long road to recovery the past couple months. Charlie sprained his MCL and dislocated his kneecap last summer and worked all offseason to get back to full strength.
"It feels great," said Charlie. "I was pretty down there for a couple of months, not being able to play, but coming back again this season, actually getting to swing the bat against some live pitching was really good."
Charlie will play college baseball next year for Des Moines Area Community College-that's the winningest community college program in the country the last four years.
He has a 3.9 GPA and if his Major League dreams fall short, he wants to be a pilot.
