Stabbing victim and suspect walk nearly a block for help

Colorado Springs Police were called to 1562 Happiness Drive at around 2:00 am Sunday when a woman called to report a person had been stabbed. One man told the woman that his friend had been stabbed and needed help. When officers and paramedics arrived they found both the victim and the suspect on scene. The Victim was immediately taken to a local hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds and a collapsed lung. The suspect later identified as Kelvin Thomas was taken into custody for questioning by police. It was also later discovered that the stabbing happened in the 1500 block of Diana Ln.

It is unclear at this time what precipitated the stabbing or why the suspect and victim walked nearly a block for help. An investigation by Colorado Springs Police is ongoing.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released by police.
