Stars invade Thursday night comedies

Thursday night is comedy night on NBC, and the network's hottest shows have added some big stars to their lineups.

The night kicks off with Jack Black infiltrating the Spanish study group in "Community."

"He loves their kind of clique, and he wants in. Desperately," Black said.

So desperately that he becomes a bit of a stalker.

Black does his best to fit in with the study buddies, who aren't so sure he's worthy.

But behind-the-scenes cast members were thrilled to have the multi-talented guest star on the set.

"He's just like a mixture of everything that's funny," said Yvette Nicole Brown.

Will Arnett goes on a blind date with his real-life wife, Amy Poehler, on "Parks and Recreation."

"I'm his fan as well as his wife so it's really fun to do scenes with him," said actress Amy Poehler.

"I guess they saw there was real chemistry between me and the lady who's on the show," Arndt said.

James Franco cooks up a paparazzi romance with Jenna on "30 rock."

"There's very little preparation for this role because I'm playing myself," Franco said.

And this version was just as much of a heartthrob behind the scenes as he is onscreen.

Star power, that stirs up real feelings in Jane Krakowski's character.

"It's been really really nice to see Jenna actually fall for someone," Krakowski said.

Fresh comedy and big stars, tonight on News First 5.
