In Security, Colorado State Patrol is looking into a deadly accident involving a pedestrian and a car.
It happened Friday night on Bradley Road and Cantrell Drive. Troopers say a pedestrian was crossing Bradley in a northbound direction and was hit by a 2001 Chevrolet. They say the pedestrian did walk in front of the Chevrolet.
The pedestrian was transported to Memorial Hospital, and died as a result of their injuries. The pedestrian has not been identified at this time.
The driver of the Chevrolet is identified as 19 year-old Tatyana Christmas. She was wearing her seatbelt at the crash and was not injured.
Speed is not a factor in the crash. Patrol officers are not sure whether alcohol or drugs on the pedestrian were a contributing factor. The crash is still under investigation.
