State Patrol looking for truck involved in fatal moped crash near Pueblo

PUEBLO COUNTY - The Colorado State Patrol is looking for a truck involved in a crash that killed two people Thursday night.  Troopers say that a Darren Capanna, 51, of Pueblo, was driving a moped southbound in the right lane on Interstate 25, 11 miles north of Pueblo, when he was hit from behind by a Volkswagen Golf, traveling in the same direction.  Capanna came off the bike, and was run over by a truck.  The man driving the truck did not remain at the scene.  A Chevrolet Equinox, also traveling southbound, swerved to avoid the crash, and rolled.  The driver, Dianne Hayes, 61, of Pueblo, died at the scene.  Her two passengers were seriously injured.  The driver of the Volkswagen was unhurt.

The crash is still under investigation.  Anyone with information about the pickup truck that fled the scene is asked to contact police.
