The Colorado State Patrol will soon open I-25 after a storm that clogged traffic from Pueblo to Albuquerque.
The State Patrol plans to open the Interstate at Trinidad first, then Walsenburg a few minutes later, and finally Pueblo. The road was closed yesterday at Trinidad because of blizzard conditions. Eventually it was closed at Pueblo Boulevard on Pueblo's south side when hotels and motels in Trinidad filled up.
Troopers hope the staggered opening will reduce the possibility of accidents as motorists get back on the road.
