Steep tuition hike approved for all CU schools

In-state undergraduate students at the University of Colorado will pay 7 percent to 9 percent more in tuition at the Boulder, Colorado Springs and Denver campuses starting this fall.
The Board of Regents approved the increases Monday on an 8-1 vote. Out-of-state undergraduates will pay 2 percent to 5 percent more.
CU system officials say in-state undergraduates will pay $572 more per academic year in Boulder, $420 more in Colorado Springs and $504 more in Denver.
Out-of-state undergraduates will pay $1,300 more per academic year in Boulder, $320 more in Colorado Springs and $384 more in Denver.
Regent Tom Lucero, a Republican from Johnstown cast the only dissenting vote.
