There are nineteen locations around downtown Colorado Springs where you can see these beauties, but these places are only temporary homes for these butterflies.
The Butterflies and Friends Project is a collaboration between the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs and many local sponsors to help raise money for art education, as well as to support local children.
Thirty-one butterflies will be auctioned off on September 17th at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and one will be raffled off.
This year, the money raised from the auction will go to the Rotary Community Service fund and District 11 schools, Rogers Elementary School and Twain Elementary School to support a variety of arts and music programs.
A raffle ticket for a chance to win a butterfly is $5 and you'll need to email firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase your ticket.
