DENVER (AP) - The 2013 National Western Stock Show & Rodeo is reporting its lowest attendance since 2004.
Stock show spokeswoman Susan Kanode says total attendance this year was just under 628,000.
According to the Denver Post (http://tinyurl.com/bcragvx), stock show officials reported about 625,000 in attendance in 2004.
National Western wanted to move to a new venue after years of grumbling about crumbling and outdated buildings and lack of parking, but Denver officials nixed the idea.
