Stolen 19th century Bible sold for 30 dollars

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A 19th century Bible stolen from a St. Louis church several days before Christmas has turned up at an antique shop and a suspect has been arrested. The Bible was stolen from St. John's Lutheran Church last Friday. It was the fourth burglary in a week at the church. An antique dealer says he paid $30 for the Bible on Sunday but had suspicions about it. An Internet search turned up a St. Louis Post-Dispatch story about the stolen Bible, and the dealer called police. The newspaper reports that authorities had a description of the burglar from surveillance images and soon made an arrest. Authorities believe the suspect may be responsible for six burglaries at the church since September. Now, an anonymous donor is contributing money so the church can buy a security system.
