Nearly 5,000 sandbags collapsed through the floor of a storage building in Fargo, North Dakota, snapping gas pipes.
Firefighters closed down several roads surrounding the warehouse. Five people inside the building were able to get out unhurt.
The gas line was shut off and the hazmat team quickly tried to air out the building. The structural stability of the building is still under investigation.
The collapse left a 30 by 60 foot hole. The owner of the warehouse has provided sandbag storage in another building.
Towns along the Red River are getting ready for spring flooding. The snow is so deep that flooding is expected.
