The University of Phoenix is no longer housed in the University of Phoenix Tower in Colorado Springs. That campus has officially moved into the bottom floor of the Holly Sugar Building Downtown.

The new space is more centrally located for working professionals, who primarily make up the school's student body. Campus Director Brittany Nielson says the move should give also a boost to the downtown economy, particularly coffee shops and cafe's.

"We have hungry, caffeine-starved people that we're unleashing on downtown, Monday through Thursday every night and we're very excited about that," Nielson said.

The school will continue to offer classes at their main campus in Rockrimmon as well.
