TODAY: Sunny skies and much quieter weather expected compared to yesterday's wind and snow. Temps this afternoon will stay chilly due to the snow cover. 43 for Colorado Springs, 47 in Pueblo and 52 in Canon City. Temps in Teller County will be a mix of upper 30's and lower 40's.
TONIGHT: Skies overnight will be mostly starry. Temperatures will not be nearly as cold as they were this morning. Low temps will range from 22 in the Springs, 19 in Pueblo to 26 in Canon City.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and much warmer for your mid-week forecast. Temps will rises to 60 in Springs and mid 60's for Pueblo, Canon City and Trinidad.
THURSDAY: Very warm weather expected with mostly sunny skies. 64 for the Springs, upper 60's for Ft. Carson and Canon City and lower 70's from Pueblo out to Lamar! Another somewhat stronger storm system from the Pacific is on the way and will mean another round of snow for the ski resorts Friday through Monday.
FRIDAY: Dry skies, mild temps and quiet conditions expected to start the day, but that next storm spreads snow into the mountains and more clouds and cooler temps across our area later in the day. Late Friday evening/night expect another round of some rain and snow showers will return to eastern Colorado. Chances for snow showers will go up to about 50% across the mountains close to home...including Teller County, the Wet and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Overnight we'll have at least a 40% chance for showers in Colorado Springs and Canon City....30% chance for Pueblo, Trinidad and Walsenburg and a 20-30% chance for the eastern plains.
SATURDAY: Snow and even some rain showers expected! Temps will be colder with highs only around 40 in the Springs and the mid 40's in Pueblo and Canon City. Where temps are warmer we will see some rain showers during the day...areas with colder temps will have snow showers. Still too early to tell how much snow or rain we'll see, but this storm does not seem especially cold compared to recent systems.
SUNDAY: Areas of snow showers will be possible across eastern Colorado to start the day. Conditions will start to improve by later in the day as the storm leaves the region. High temps should end-up being at least 2-3 degrees colder compared to highs on Saturday.
MONDAY: Quieter, warmer and sunnier weather expected. Temps for the new week will be about 8-10 degrees warmer compared to Sunday. Mid 40's for the Springs....upper 40's for Ft. Carson and lower 50's for Canon and Pueblo.
