Super Bowl means business

For Colorado restaurants with big-screen TVs, flowing taps, and mounds of buffalo wings, a Super Bowl Sunday is a nice bit of business, but it's a lot better if the home team happens to be in it (Hint, hint, Broncos).

For this year's Super Bowl, the saving grace for restaurants was that the game was a good one for all four quarters.

While the snow fell all day Sunday, if it weren't for the Super Bowl, some restaurants say they would have had very few people come through the doors.

"I don't think the weather affects football fans a whole lot," says Jonathan Stringer, manager of Old Chicago's at Woodmen Road and I-25 in Colorado Springs.

Stringer also says their big business on Super Bowl Sunday is takeout.

"A lot of people like to take our wings and pizzas home and take them to their parties," says Stringer.
