Suspect arrested in fatal Orchard Mesa shooting

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have arrested man suspected of shooting and killing a suspected robbery accomplice at an Orchard Mesa home.

Mesa County sheriff's officials say they arrested 22-year-old Joshua Ringold early Sunday in Grand Junction. Ringold is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, as well as robbery, burglary menacing and assault charges.

Ringold is suspected in the death of a 16-year-old alleged accomplice killed early Friday outside the Orchard Mesa home.

The owner of the home was also wounded by gunfire during an altercation in which he struck one of three men outside his house with a metal pipe.

A 20-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of aggravated robbery and first-degree burglary.
