Suspect killed after stand off in Aurora

A suspect wanted for injuring a police officer has been shot and killed in Aurora.
The man, not yet identified, apparently took refuge in an apartment complex near Colfax and Elmira. This morning, according to our partners at 9News, police tried to force the man from the apartment using tear gas. The man reportedly tried to escape through a window and was still carrying a gun. Officers opened fire, killing the suspect.
Last night the man had allegedly traded shots with a police officer. The officer was struck in the leg. He has been treated and released from a hospital.
