Hundreds came together at Trinity of the Nazarene Church to remember 16 year old Austin Howse. He and two of his friends were killed a week ago, shot in this neighborhood near "We can't imagine that cutting somebody off results in 3 young people being murdered." said El Paso County District Attorney Dan May who attended the services, "It's just unimaginable."
Howse is described by friends as light hearted, funny and always smiling. Hundreds of his class mates attended, still trying to come to grips with this sudden void in their lives. They say Howse was fun loving and easy to be around. "In the halls he would just like lift me up and throw me and say I was only 2lbs. I would be like no I'm too fat and he'd be like no, you're skinny!" laughs classmate Janice Oh.
But most importantly he's remembered as a son, a brother and a friend who loved his family and friends, who say he was always there when they needed him. "So, goodbye to Austin. My best friend and my protector." said his friend Dillion during the service, "But most importantly my brother. Lay low bro."
