CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) - Prosecutors have decided against filing charges against a teen who fatally stabbed his uncle, mistakenly thinking the uncle was an intruder.

Prosecutors say 18-year-old Dylan Jones was staying at his grandmother's trailer home in Littleton on Jan. 14 when his uncle, John Jones, unexpectedly stopped by the trailer after a night at the bar.

Dylan Jones had been told that someone had tried to break into the homes a few weeks earlier. After he heard someone crash into a flower pot outside, come through the front door and enter his room, he stabbed him. Dylan Jones later saw his uncle's truck in the driveway.

John Jones died of his injuries at a hospital.
