The rich got richer, "way" richer, during the first two years of the economic recovery.
Pew Center researchers analyzed census data finding the median net worth of the wealthiest Americans rose nearly 30% between 2009 and 2011 to more than $3 million.
The median net worth of the rest of the nation dropped 4% to nearly $134,000.
That's attributed to wealthier people putting their money in the stock and bond market, while the wealth of most Americans is concentrated in their homes.
