The threat for flash flooding looms

Coverage of storms today is expected to be overall less than previous days due to less moisture in our atmosphere. Isolated showers and storms are still possible though especially up over the mountains this afternoon with a storm or two possibly moving through the I-25 corrider late in the day and into the early evening hours. Highs will be warmer (80s/90s) this afternoon as well.

The chance for rain will increase into the workweek with Tuesday and Wednesday looking to be the wettest days of the new week. Cooler, below average highs (70s/80s) will accompany the increased chance for rain. Drier and warmer conditions return for the end of the week with highs in the 80s/90s under mostly to partly sunny skies.

If you live near one of the area burn scars, keep in mind that it just takes one thunderstorm to cause a flash flood situation. Please stay aware of the weather situation over the coming days.
