Police say a suspected car thief in Colorado Springs took advantage of his victim's good nature. The man stopped to help a stranded motorist at around 2:00 a.m. Saturday along Platte Avenue near Iowa.
Officers say when he got out of the car, another vehicle pulled up and a man jumped into his car and stole it. The victim chased after his car but stopped when the suspect pulled out a gun.
The victim's vehicle is described as a black Suzuki Areo with a Colorado license plate number 507-GIX. The suspect's car is described as a white, older model Ford Crown Victoria or Chevy Caprice.
The suspect is described as a hispanic man between 21 and 25 years old, weighing approximately 160 pounds with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white jersey.
