Liz Hershberger is a wife and mother of four, ages five, four, three, and two.
They lost their home in Mountain Shadows.
"I'm a person that likes to give, and so I'm quite on the other end from where I've always been in my life," said Hershberger. "It's like starting from scratch, and people are doing so good in giving."
Saturday she found help at New Life Church where a huge donation drive went on most of the day.
Evacuees and those who have lost everything were able to find just about anything they could need, even things for their children.
For Hershberger, it's hard when her kids ask questions.
"Now the two youngest, they don't, but my daughters, they will," said Hershberger. "They're like, 'Mom my Christmas gift that grandma gave me, are we able to find that, and can we go see our house?' So yeah, there are a lot of questions, and questions we don't know how to answer."
The drive will continue Sunday from 8:30 in the morning till 1:30, and they will be accepting donations all week.
