NEW YORK (AP) - Thousands of demonstrators have filled New York City's Times Square to protest corporate greed.

Demonstrators were penned in by police barricades Saturday night as they chanted, banged on drums and carried signs. Police in riot
gear and mounted on horses tried to push people out of the square and onto the sidewalks in an attempt to funnel the crowds away.
The demonstrators had marched north through Manhattan from Washington Square Park earlier in the afternoon.

There were reports of arrests during the march, including fewer than 10 people wearing masks. It was just one of several protests held throughout the city and across the world Saturday against failed financial policies. Earlier in the day in New York City, demonstrators paraded to a Chase bank branch to withdraw their money.
