Five thousand children in Pueblo will have bigger smiles this Christmas.
Their parents said a big thank you today as well.
Many organizations, like the Salvation Army, Posada, Toys for Tots, and The Toy Run, got together to provide a shopping station for parents.
It means those who were eligible could come pick out toys for their kids from the donations, then either take them home to wrap them or wrap them up on site.
"The parents are the heroes, and it's the parents who are shopping for the toys," said Anne Stattelman of Posada. "It's not an agency. The toys don't come from an agency, they come from the parents, and that's the way it should be."
Santa was even on hand which made all of the kids really happy.
It's a project that's been months in the making, and it took hundreds of volunteers.
Pick-up for the toys will continue tomorrow from ten in the morning till eight at night.
