Police continue to clean up from a nasty crash after a head-on collision took out three vehicles on a residential street in Colorado Springs.
It happened at the intersection of Murray Blvd & Galley Rd around 6:30 PM. Police say two cars were driving northbound on Murray, one behind the other, when a car traveling southbound hit both cars; the first one spun out, hit on the side, and the second one was hit head on.
News 5 spoke with the woman who was driving that second car; Jennifer Candib says if it weren't for her seatbelt and airbags, she would have been badly injured. "I think I was saying 'oh god oh god oh god', because there was no way to turn the wheel-- there was nothing. I slammed on the brakes and prayed for the best," she said.
There were two people in the at-fault car; police say the driver, a woman, is being evaluated for DUI. Both the woman and her passenger were taken to the hospital.
