You might have noticed some thunder in the skies today. That's because the Air Force Thunderbirds are in town.
Today the jets took to the skies in preparation for their flyover during Wednesday's Air Force Academy graduation.
Two of the pilots are Colorado natives. Capt. Nicholas Holmes, A CSU grad, says as honored as he is to fly over the academy...he's just as proud to be back in his home state. "It's a thrill to be back here." he says, "Just as we were flying in and breaking through the clouds we were able to see the foothills. It was so nice. It's nice to be back home."
This year's class of cadets will graduate this Wednesday at the Air Force Academy. The Thunderbirds fly over should happen around 1 p.m.
