COLORADO SPRINGS - If you left the Colorado College game before the third period Saturday night, then you left too early. Trailing 3-1 to Minnesota, the Tigers rallied on back-to-back goals from Alexander Krushelnyski and last minute score from Rylan Schwartz to force an overtime tie.
CC fell behind early when Tom Serratore, Kyle Rau and Seth Ambroz all scored for the Gophers in the first period.
Rylan Schwartz picked up the Tigers first goal 8:30 into the second period before Mike Reilly extended the Gophers' lead.
Tigers goalie Josh Thorimbert only needed 5 of his 25 saves on the night to shutout Minnesota during the third period rally. At 5-4-1, Colorado College stays above .500 on the season and currently holds the 6th spot in the WCHA standings.
