Tim Tebow to speak at event in Colorado Springs

Former Denver Broncos starter and current New York Jets Quarterback Tim Tebow has accepted an invitation to speak at the Broadmoor Hotel on April 13 during a fundraiser dinner sponsored by Colorado Springs Christian Schools.

The Heisman Trophy Winner will be honored with the school's Lion's Heart Award which was created to recognize outstanding contributions in education and leadership by members of our community and nation.

"Tim has been, and continues to be, a leader to our youth and adults alike," said CSCS Superintendent Dr. Roland DeRenzo. "His commitment and consistency in being true to his faith, while proving to be a leader with his teammates, on and off the field, is the reason why we've chosen to honor him with the Lion's Heart Award."

Tebow is expected to participate in a question and answer period session during the dinner. The event is open to the public and sponsorships are currently being sold. Individual tickets will go on sale in January via the website www.lionsheartgala.com.
