It's not a done deal, but 450 new jobs could be rolling into Southern Colorado.

Green Diamond Tires is considering both Pueblo and Fremont Counties as a location for a new plant to manufacture recycled tires.

Pueblo County is offering the Sheridan-based company an incentive package, but Fremont County Commissioner Mike Stiehl says Green Diamond's CEO has claimed Fremont is their choice.

That could still change, but Stiehl says Fremont County has advantages like lower taxes, access to USDA Rural Development loans, and subsidized training.

The issue now is money.

Green Diamond Tires has received a $10 million loan, but to get it, they have to raise $2 million.

Right now, they have a little over half that.
