Top teens sought

Mayor Lionel Rivera is asking for applicants for the Mayor's 100 Teens.

Since 1998, Mayor's 100 Teens has recognized teenagers who demonstrate a strong commitment to serving others; who may have overcome adversity or unique obstacles in life; who have achieved a significant accomplishment; and who are positive role models for their peers. The Mayor's 100 Teens seeks to acknowledge teens who do not routinely receive recognition for the remarkable things they do.

"Mayor's 100 Teens not only gives these teens the recognition they deserve, but it gives them opportunities to get involved in community service projects and to meet other successful teens in the Pikes Peak Region," said Mayor Rivera.

Students in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade may be nominated for The Mayor's 100 Teens. The deadline for nominations is April 1, 2011. For a nomination form, click here
