Tornado spotted northeast of Lamar

The National Weather Service reports a tornado was spotted on the ground northeast of Lamar near the town of Towner.  Radar showed it moving north at 25 miles an hour. 

The report was made by a law enforcement officer.  The National Weather Service advises people in the area to take cover in a sturdy building. 

Another storm capable of producing a tornado was also a worry for residents near Springfield.
