''Trash can" puppies get check-ups

Four of the puppies left in a  Highlands Ranch trash can in May are cleared for upcoming adoptions. They got their check-ups today at The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. Another puppy was found dead when officers got to the scene, leading to a possible felony charge for the person or persons responsible. The Humane Society will let the public know when they can adopt the puppies on Wednesday, July 24th.
