Tuesday is the "warm before the storm"

A storm system will ride the jet stream from the Pacific Ocean and cross Colorado Wednesday night and Thursday. Today, some warmth will surge northward ahead of that developing storm, and, even though the morning was cold, our temperatures will jump up into the mid-to-upper 60's. The breeze will increase, and clouds will begin moving in to filter the sunshine.

Tomorrow the clouds steadily increase, and some spotty snow is expected to begin falling Wednesday night. Most snow will fall on Thursday, and temperatures will likely struggle to break freezing. Some snow flurries could linger on Friday morning, but even after the snow tapers off clouds will linger and hold temperature down Friday afternoon. Some slow warming is expected this weekend.
