Tuesday will be partly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. "Scattered" does not necessarily mean that we will all see rain, but there will be rain around. The higher elevations and areas along and west of I-25 will be the most favored, but there will be a few showers over the Plains late this afternoon and this evening, too. Even closer to the mountains, most showers will hold off until after 2 PM. High temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 70's around Colorado Springs with lower 80's around Pueblo and across the Plains.
A brisk downslope wind sets up tomorrow, which will dry the air. It will also increase the fire risk, so a Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Wednesday afternoon and evening.
