Red Flag Warning in effect for tomorrow afternoon for parts of El Paso, Fremont, Huerfano, Las Animas, & Pueblo Counties.
Beautiful weather is moving in and here to stay - at least for the work week! The western half of the US will be under an area of high pressure. This means that conditions will stay dry, skies will stay mostly clear, and temperatures climb. Highs today will be in the 60s and 70s. Tomorrow will be the warmest afternoon as some locations will be flirting with 80°!!!
Temperatures will cool SLIGHTLY Thursday as a weak front moves through. But even with the cool down, temperatures will still be very warm. Friday, we're even warmer as temperatures once again flirt with 80°.
There are some changes for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday right now look black and white. Saturday will be fairly sunny with the warmth extending one more day. But come Saturday Night, a strong front moves through Colorado. Not only will this bring a big drop in temperatures, but showers will come behind the front. Anything we see on Sunday will fall in the form of rain (excluding high elevations), but then change to some snow showers for Sunday Night/Monday morning. Like last Monday, the cold, wet weather will continue for the beginning of the work week.
Enjoy the sun and warmth... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
