Tulo typo: Rockies misspell star's name on 15,000 free t-shirts

It's a Tulo typo that has left the purple and black all red in the face.  The Colorado Rockies are apologizing for misspelling the last name of their All-Star shortstop on 15,000 t-shirts given away to fans at Saturday's game at Coors Field.  The purple t-shirts featured Troy Tulowitzki's famous number 2, however Tulo's last name was misspelled on all 15,000 shirts, missing the 't' before the 'z' in his name.  Even casual fans seemed to notice 'Tulowizki' was not the correct spelling.

The Rockies apologized to fans via Twitter and Facebook Saturday night, saying they regret the Tulo typo.  "Our sincere apologies to the fans for the misspelling of the Troy Tulowitzki King Soopers jersey that was distributed tonight," the statement said. "Acknowledging that many fans came to the game for the jersey, rather than disappoint them, we decided to go ahead and hand them out. We have made plans to reproduce the jersey and fans wishing to exchange will be able to do so at a future date (TBD) in September at Coors Field or the Rockies Dugout Stores. In addition, fans exchanging the jersey will receive a complimentary ticket to a future game in 2014 or 2015."
