Two banks were robbed within a couple of hours in Colorado Springs Monday.
The Academy Bank off Briargate Boulevard was held up around 4:30pm.
The suspect threatened the teller, made off with cash, although police don't know if he had a weapon.
Earlier, a man robbed the Wells Fargo bank off South Nevada. Police say he said he did have a gun. Police got a quick heads up on the suspect from a witness.
"There was a citizen who saw the car and followed while giving us updates, but unfortunately the chase had to be terminated because he started driving a little to wild, it was too dangerous for the public," said Sgt. Dale Fox.
Late Monday afternoon, an officer spotted someone matching the suspect description in the Wells Fargo robbery.
Turns out, it was him, and he was arrested.
Police don't believe he's connected to the Academy Bank robbery.
