Update: The intersection was reopened to all traffic at 5:30 pm. Two people died in the crash, a 50-year-old woman who was the driver and a young male passenger. Both were riding in a convertible Ford Mustang traveling west on Bradley Road. They crossed the intersection at Marksheffel Road, hitting a Dodge pickup truck traveling southbound. Both vehicles were damaged. The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation into the crash is on-going.
Update: The accident is now being reported as a fatal with 2 people dead. Another patient reported as "critcal". Both Marksheffel and Bradley roads are closed in the area, and are expected to be closed for an extended period of time.
Emergency crews are working on a serious injury accident at Marksheffel and Bradley Roads in southeastern Colorado Springs.
The accident occured around noon on Friday.
